The Edmonds Art Walk was founded in March of 2002 by Manya Vee and Jeff Stilwell with the idea to not only create an opportunity for artists to show and sell their work, but also for visitors to discover our wonderful downtown merchants and services. Manya and Jeff's vision was for this event to be an opportunity for all to enjoy a greater selection of art on a regular basis.  

The idea was embraced and over the years Art Walk grew to become one of the largest in the state with regular monthly participation of multiple business participants and hundreds of people attending from surrounding communities every month.

Art Walk Edmonds is proud to have earned 501(c)(3) status as of July 2014 under the leadership of Denise Cole, acting as interim director from January-August 2014. Denise recruited a Board of Directors to revamp and expand the vision of Art Walk Edmonds. Today, Art Walk Edmonds not only coordinates Art Walks every third Thursday of the month, but also hosts events such as the Summer Edmonds Wine Walks and cooperates with other local programs to promote the Arts in Edmonds.

Art Walk Edmonds is funded through business participation fees, grants, and donors. The funds received cover administrative overhead for staff, marketing and more – helping us inspire more businesses and artists to join, while spreading the word about AWE and the city of Edmonds in the Seattle metropolitan area and beyond. We invite you to join us as our Art Walk continues to grow and evolve.
